Before you scroll past: Disney World just dropped the 2026 holiday party dates and details, and if a Walt Disney World Christmas trip is anywhere on your radar, you need this information now. Not in October when the tickets are gone. Now.
I know, I know. It’s summer. The kids just got out of school. Your sunscreen hasn’t even dried. But here’s the thing about Christmas at Disney World: the people who experience the magic are the ones who planned it in June. So grab something cold (or pretend it’s a hot cocoa), because I’m about to walk you through everything you need to know about Disney’s 2026 holiday parties

Walt Disney World hosts two separate after-hours holiday events each season: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios. These are ticketed events held on select nights throughout November and December, separate from your regular park admission. They are the definition of elevated Disney magic, and if you’ve never been to one, consider this your sign.
If there is one Disney World Christmas experience that earns its own category, it’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This is the holiday event that people plan entire vacations around, and once you’ve been, you’ll understand why.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place on select evenings inside Magic Kingdom. It’s an after-hours event, meaning the park is less crowded, the atmosphere is full-on festive, and the whole thing feels like Disney turned up the magic dial a few extra notches. Here’s what’s included with your ticket:
Complimentary cookies and seasonal holiday drinks throughout the park. Holiday fireworks over Cinderella Castle. Festive stage shows. The Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Snow falling on Main Street U.S.A. (yes, real-ish snow, and yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds). Classic attractions with special holiday overlays. Character meet and greets with Elsa and Anna, Jack Skellington and Sally, Santa Claus, and all of the Fab Five.
One thing most people don’t realize: your party ticket gets you into Magic Kingdom starting at 4:00pm, and the official party begins at 7:00pm. That’s three bonus hours inside the park before the magic even officially starts.
November: 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 25, 27, 29
December: 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22
Dates in late November and the week before Christmas tend to sell out first, so if you have your heart set on a specific night, don’t wait.

If Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is classic Disney Christmas, Jollywood Nights is Christmas with a sparkle and a sequin. This Hollywood Studios event leans into old-Hollywood glamour and Pixar charm, and the result is something genuinely special.
Here’s what makes Jollywood Nights its own experience: ice skating performances, elegant holiday decor throughout the park, a Pixar-hosted holiday dance party, live musical entertainment, the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! nighttime spectacular, holiday treats, shorter wait times for attractions, and over 20 character meet and greets, including rare characters you typically don’t encounter on a regular park day. That last one is a bigger deal than it sounds.
Jollywood Nights ticket holders can enter Hollywood Studios beginning at 5:30pm. The party runs from 7:30pm to 12:30am, which makes this one perfect for night owls and families who like to squeeze every last drop out of an evening.
November: 7, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28
December: 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 23
January: 3, 5

Here is where it pays to be organized (and to have someone like me in your corner).
If your Disney World vacation is already booked at a Walt Disney World resort, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, or Shades of Green, holiday party tickets become available to purchase on July 9. If you are staying off-property, your ticket purchase window opens July 16.
Party tickets are not included with regular park admission. They sell out. Every year, without fail. And the dates closest to Christmas disappear the fastest.
If you haven’t booked your Disney World Christmas vacation yet, now is the time. I would love to put something together for you before those early-access ticket windows open.

That is a great question, and honestly one I could talk about for a while. The short answer: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the classic choice for families with young kids and anyone who wants the full traditional Disney Christmas experience. Jollywood Nights is a little more grown-up in its vibe, a bit later in the evening, and ideal for families with older kids or couples who want something a little different.
The longer answer is coming. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing a full breakdown of both parties: what to expect, how to choose, and my personal tips for making the absolute most of your night. Stay tuned.
Planning a Christmas trip to Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do, and I mean that. There is something about designing a holiday Disney vacation for a family that just gets me every time. If you want to experience Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Jollywood Nights this year, let’s get your vacation on the calendar now so you’re ready when those ticket windows open.
